Colour Gradient Palette for the Look of the Games

The palette of original patterns is based on the color gamut as a way of representing the continuity of color transitions. The main colors in this gamut are set down as red, yellow, green and blue with additional four «intermediate» colors (orange, blue, purple and magenta). In the color gamut the alternating primary and secondary colors are disposed at an equal distance from each other.
Addition of the two primary colors gives extra color lying between them. When mixing two complementary colors the main color is obtained lying between them. The gradient transitions should correspond to the sequence of colors in the color gamut. The color gamut is the most important component of the visual image. The compliance and accurate reproduction of the color gamut on all visual media ensures a clear and consistent single brand conception of both ХХII Olympic and ХI Paralympic Winter Games Sochi 2014.
