Stockholm 1912 – Graphic Symbol

Designer: unknown

The graphic symbol of the Stockholm Games shows in the middle the head of the Pallas Athene. Around the head is written in Swedish: “Olympic Games in Stockholm 1912”. Below are the three crowns, the national emblem of Sweden; in the upper part there are two, in the lower part in the middle the third crown. They usually appear in yellow on a light blue background. This national symbol of Sweden can also be found in the country’s coat of arms, at official appearances of the monarchy, in the Imperial Diet, at Swedish embassies, on the emblem of the Swedish Olympic Committee and in many other places. This graphic symbol is not recognized by the IOC and therefore no official emblem.
