Helsinki 1952 – Emblem

Designer: Paul Söderström

It is assumed that the design of the badges was developed first, and the motif for the emblem then redesigned in two dimensions. The white tower next to the Olympic Stadium can be seen on a vertical light blue rectangle. The Olympic rings sit above it. Between stadium and rings is the event year “1952”. Below the rectangle it says “XV Olympia” and “Helsinki” in English. The emblem was printed on all printed matter in various colours.
