Winners Medal
The medals of the Olympic Games are probably the most valuable personal awards athletes can get. Therefore I do not support the trading of winner medals. You will not find them in my collection. However I report them as point of reference which demonstrates the development of Olympic design throughout history. Interesting to note is that the face of the medals of the summer Olympic Games between Amsterdam 1928 and Sydney 2000 thematically never changed. For Athens 2004 a new face concept has been adopted and used since. The design of the medals of the Winter Games was always free of restrictions and therefore much more individual.
