Participation Diplomas

Not much literature is available about participants’ diplomas. Principally all athletes, functionaries, officials and volunteers are being handed out such diplomas. Often the winners’ diplomas have been used for this purpose, too, e.g. 1912 in Stockholm just without the golden imprint. Since the 1950’ies there have been differently designed diplomas. With only few exceptions since 1970 there were given diplomas also for the torch run, the participation at the opening and closing ceremonies, for extraordinary contributions as well as to the volunteers. The diplomas presented below form an inherent part of my collection.
